Decree No. 458 of the State Council of the People's Republic of China
The " Regulations concerning the management of public places of entertainment '" has been approved on the 122th Meeting of the Standing Committee of the State Council of the People's Republic of China on Jan. 18, 2006. It is now promulgated and shall come into effect as of Mar.1, 2006.

Regulations concerning the management of public places of entertainment
Chapter I General
Article 1: This Regulations is formulated for purposes of enhancing the management of public places of entertainment and ensuring the sound development of such places.
Article 2: The public places of entertainment under this Regulations refers to the places opened to the public serving customers with singing, dancing and various games.
Article 3: The competent department of people's government above county level is responsible for supervising and managing the routine operation of such places; and the public security department above county level answers for the supervision and management for the fire control and public security of such places.
Article 4: The national organ and its staffs are neither allowed to set up any public place of entertainment, nor participate or indirectly participate the operation of such places. This rule also governs the mate, lineal descent, collateral consanguinity within three generations and close affinity of any staff working in the competent department in respect of culture and public security. |
