"Decision of the Standing Committee of the NPC on Modifying 'Audit Law of the People's Republic of China'" has been approved by the 20th Meeting of the Standing Committee of the Tenth NPC on February 28, 2006. It is now promulgated and shall come into force as June 1, 2006.

Decision of the Standing Committee of the NPC on Modifying "Audit Law of the People's Republic of China"

The 20th Meeting of the Standing Committee of the Tenth NPC decided to make the following modifications to the "Audit Law of the People's Republic of China":
1. Article 1 is modified as: "This Law is formulated in accordance with the Constitution, for the purpose of strengthening the State supervision through auditing, maintaining the financial and economic order of the country, increasing returns on the use of budgetary funds, promoting the building of a clean government and ensuring the sound development of the national economy and society." |
